Jonathan Ames is the author of two novels, I Pass Like Night and The Extra Man. The http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ISBN=1884777384/coffeehousebookcA/ Extra Man has just come out this August from Scribner. I Pass Like Night will be reissued by Washington Square Press in August '99.
Ames also writes the "City Slicker" column for the New York Press. In addition to writing, Ames performs frequently as a storyteller. He has appeared at P.S. 122, the Fez, Here, the Moth, and other New York performance spaces. In January of 1999, he will have a one-man show of his storytelling at P.S. 122 entitled, Oedipussy.
